DiskVista
See what's taking up space on your drives.

What it does
Everything you need, nothing you don't.
Explore disk usage
Scan a drive or folder and see where the space goes. Explore the treemap to spot the biggest folders, then open the folder tree to see what's inside.
See what changed
Compare two saved scans to find which folders grew or shrank. Start with the biggest changes when a drive is suddenly running low on space.
Check drive health
See drive details and available health readings, such as temperature and power-on hours. DiskVista shows why a reading is unavailable when the drive or Windows can't provide it.
Measure drive speed
Run sequential and random read and write tests and watch the results update live. Use Quick mode for a spot check or Full mode to run the complete set of tests.
How it works
Three steps to a clear picture.
- 1
Choose a drive or folder.
Scan the location you want to understand.
- 2
Find what’s using space.
Follow the largest areas in the treemap or drill down through the folder tree.
- 3
Compare over time.
Save a scan and compare it with a later one to see where storage usage changed.

FAQ
Good to know.
Can I scan just one folder?
Yes. Choose a folder to focus on a specific part of a drive, or scan the entire drive for a broader view.
Can I see what has grown since my last scan?
Yes. Compare two saved scans of the same location to see how folder sizes changed.
Do I need to run DiskVista as an administrator?
You can open DiskVista normally. Available drive diagnostics depend on the hardware and Windows permissions. Some SATA SMART readings may require administrator access.
How does the speed test work?
DiskVista creates a temporary test file in the selected location, measures sequential and random reads and writes, and removes the file when the test finishes or is cancelled under normal operation.
